I have been looking on the UCAS website at courses at Canterbury UCA starting in 2010. So far i have looked at BA Hons degrees in Graphic design: New Media, Advertising and Brand Communication, and Graphic Communication. I am not sure yet what course i want to do. NEW MEDIA
A couple of months ago i entered a nationwide competition to design a logo for the official 2012 Olympics education logo. After a months wait i found out that me and 3 other people in my class had got through to the final 6 and we had to go up to London to present our ideas and be judged. About 2 months after i was contacted by someone from the Olympics to tell me that i had won the competition and my prize would be a 2 month internship at FutureBrand. When i was a t future brand i spent just over a week changing my logo and coming up with a few final ideas. i then sent off my ideas and the people at the Olympics chose the design they wanted to use as the Official Education Logo. On tuesday 15th September i had to go up to Nightingale Primary School in Woolwich for the launch of my logo where i met several different people including Olympic gold medalist Johnathan Edwards, and had to have my photo taken and be interviewed by different people and press.
Josh Keyes is a Painter who i came across onffffound.com I really like his work because it is different to any other work i have looked at before and also i like the way it looks like a digital image until you look closer and see the detail of the painting.
Today i have created this blog for my BTEC National Diploma Graphic Design Unit10 personal professional development. It will be used to document my progress throughout my 2nd year of my graphicscourse, progress on current projects, web links, research, photos and my progression onto university.
