FMP Final

I have just finished my final major project in which i was re-branding Dr Pepper. I am really pleased with my final outcomes, i came up with designs for 6 Dr pepper can designs for 6 different flavours. Here are my 3 favorite designs.

My Website

Web

For the past couple of weeks i have been trying to design a website to go in the show to show my work and about me. I found it really hard to make the website because of all the layers we had to use and it all got confusing. When i had got all my web stuff together my tutor put it all together in flash and got it working. I am pleased with the website but it is a bit basic and boring.

End Of Year Show

All this week we have been setting up for our end of year show.
i have had several pieces of work ink jet printed and mounted onto foam board to go into the show. i have also had 3 of my Dr Pepper label printed and stuck onto bottles. The show is now complete and the class is taking it in turns to look after the show.
these are a few bits of my work that are displayed.

Re-Brandimg Dr Pepper

For my final major project i have decided i am going to Re-brand Dr Pepper. I will be designing and new logo, advertising posters, slogan, and packaging designs. So far in the project i have researched into Dr peppers history including where it came from how it was created and previous logos, i have also researched into the 23 top secret ingredients in Dr pepper. I have looked into the work of Shepherd Fairy but i need to research into more artists. I have done a few pages of poster thumbnails , can designs and slogans. I will now work up some of my designs on the Macs to find my final!

Web Design

Doopaa
I found this website on SmashingMagazine.com, i really like the style it has been created in it is all vector based with a tiny amount of animation. It is quite hard to navigate seeing as the whole site is in Japanese.

Rankin
This website is for photography so it is clear why they have chosen a bright photo to dominate the whole page. i really like the simplicity of the site and the way the photo stands out from the navigation.

Heather Sloane

I'm not totally sure whether i like this website as it looks and bit scruffy and thrown together quickly, from looking round the site i find that it is all hand drawn.

Got Milk

This a more animation based website than the ones before. I like this design because there is looks to interact with and look at but then there is a lot of stuff moving and going on, on one page.

V&A

On Friday we went to London to go to the V&A museum , here is some of my favourite pieces of work in the museum. One of my favourite rooms in the V&A was the renaissance gallery, i really like the statues because they are very dramatic and i think each one tells their own story.

While we was at the museum we was able to go into a room and see some original pieces of artwork and design, we saw a variety of things but this in my opinion was the best piece because i really like the scruffy collage look.

There wasn't much in the 2oth century gallery that i liked but i looked because it is one of the most popular exhibits for the 16-19 age range, one bit of work that i did like was this chair , i really like the way it is one bit of plastic and the way it flows and curves to make the chair.
